In this guide you get a brief introduction to the Analytics features and the Text Optimization feature.
When you click on your website from the overview section at app.ctabuild.com/dashboard, you'll be redirected to the Analytics page.
Here, you'll find a comprehensive chart that contains a overview of your visitors, including insights such as the number of pageviews, bounce rate, average duration spent on the site, and the average scroll depth of each visit.
As you scroll down further, you'll come across three detailed tables.
The first table to the left provides insights into where your users are coming from. By default, this is shown as the "Source", which indicates the website or channel that referred the user to your site. If you wish to explore more, you can click on "Source" and choose options like "Traffic Type", which categorizes the traffic into types, such as search engines or social media.
To the right, there's another table that offers information about your visitors' technology preferences. By default, this table shows the browser they used to access your site. However, by clicking on "Browser", you can expand your view to include details like the type of device they used, as well as their geographic data, such as the country and city from which they visited.
Beneath these, a third table focuses on the behavior and interactions of visitors across all the pages on your site.
If you click on the visitor numbers in this table, you'll receive a breakdown of individual sessions.
By clicking "Details" for any session, you gain more specific information about that visitor, including their location, the device and browser they used, and the route they took to find your site. If you wish, you can also delete the entire session from your data.
Furthermore, you'll see a chronological breakdown of the pages they visited and the sequence in which they navigated through your content.
If the visitor happens to be a returning user, their other sessions will also be displayed below for a more holistic view of their interaction history. Moreover, you have the flexibility to filter any of the tables to analyze user information for a specific page on your site. This helps in narrowing down data and understanding the source and behavior of visitors for particular pieces of content.
To access the text optimization tool, click on the Text Optimization tab to the left of the Analytics tab.
The Text Optimization feature allows you to split-test and refine your website's text elements for better engagement and conversions. By utilizing CSS selectors, you can easily modify, track, and compare different text variations to determine what resonates best with your audience.
To start tracking text on your website, you need to add the CSS selectors for the text elements. You can do this by pressing the "Track/Change Text" button. We have a separate guide explaining how this works. You can read it at the link below.
Text Optimization and Selectors
To the left, you’ll see a chart. In this chart, you can view performance by either Clicks or CTR. Most users prefer using CTR to identify the best-performing texts. By default, the chart displays "All Texts," representing the collective sum of all clicks or the average CTR of all the texts you’ve tested. You can select a specific text by clicking the dropdown menu.
Additionally, you can compare another text by finding it and clicking "Compare Text." If you wish to save this setup, you can go to Settings and choose the default texts to display in the chart.
To the right of the chart, you’ll see a breakdown of all your active selectors and their associated texts. If you’re only tracking a text without making any changes, you’ll see the label "Tracking original text."
Below the chart and selector breakdown, you’ll find three tables:
